Intent
At South Green we encourage all pupils to read widely across both fiction and non-fiction to develop their knowledge of themselves and the world in which they live, to establish an appreciation and love of reading, to gain knowledge across the curriculum and develop their comprehension skills.

These are just an idea of the books you could introduce your child/children to in order to broaden the range of texts they are accessing. It will help to increase their vocabulary and expose them to different writing structures, which will also help to support their literacy skills.
